Bombay Beach, Salton Sea by myownself Bombay Beach, Salton Sea by myownself
It is a sign of a creeping inner death when you no longer can praise the living.
- Eric Hoffer

I spent hours walking in Bombay Beach ghost town, imbibing Salton Sea's overwhelming inhospitality, hopelessness and despair, feeling a strong sense of belonging to this paradise of death and loneliness.

I think you have two very good shots, great colours and compositions, when combined become a real art piece. The framming is NOT redundant but integral to the work.

What an amazing group of things to find, and how one finds them..looks like what I would imagine some of the world would trend towards after "the bomb". So to speak. Forlorn and more or less melting while the rest of things still stand.

The Salton Sea is where things go to die and where dead things go to be among other dead things.

Now this is something that really stands out. Its always good to see , that there are still people out there who care and who know what is happening to the world and what it means , really touchy . I really love the way youve put things and every thing lovely :)
Fahim.

I love the compo , the great frame , the marvelous colors and the feeling of an empty place with so much to say.

I can't even put into words what attracts me to this deviation. The colors.... the composition...the framing, all obvious ones, but theres something else to this, which i cannot express.

Your framing brushes do a great job of making the images look as gritty and desperate as possible.

Such an incredible, beautiful, blasted place. I've never been there and always wanted to go, just to wade in the muck and detritus and suck in the weirdness of it all.

The colors in these photographs are flabbergasting. Nerve-stinging. They make my synapses climax. What did you shoot with?

May I have a bigger copy of this?
